Shakespeare & Coffee: A Love Story

This month at ECR Park, Electric City Roasting’s premier coffee bar and café, we’ve been featuring our Valentine’s Day seasonal menu inspired by Shakespeare’s classic drama Romeo & Juliet. We decided to get creative with both the drinks and the menu itself, and feature three delicious coffee drinks to make sure there’s something for everyone to love.

First up is the Star-Crossed Pour Over: our beloved Ti Amo coffee freshly ground and brewed by the cup. The punchy Ti Amo blend is made up of a naturally processed Ethiopian coffee that provides a bright, berry-like sweetness and a washed single-origin Honduras coffee that lends a smooth and chocolatey full body. If this blend captures your heart in-store, it’s available for sale at the café, on www.electriccityroasting.com, and at a variety of our local NEPA partner shops. For Valentine’s Day, Ti Amo is a great gift to say “I love you” to all the coffee lovers in your life.

The two specialty beverages we’re offering are a match made in heaven. Both sweet and bold, one hot, one cold: they’re named after the titular lovers Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet. The CapuLatte, a chocolate-covered strawberry mocha is a warm blend of specialty espresso, perfectly steamed milk, rich mocha sauce and strawberry flavors. Chocolate covered strawberries are a classic Valentine’s Day treat, and now you can enjoy one in a latte!

The MontaColdBrew is light, ambrosial cold cream cold brew. It’s flavored with hazelnut and topped with a delicious honey cream. For all the iced coffee lovers out there, we craft this beverage with the finest nitro cold brew made from our signature Blue Moose blend and freshly shaken honey sweet cream, made to order.

Also featured at the café this month is our customer appreciation Polaroid wall! Including some of our favorite customers and regulars, as well as baristas and ECR staff, this display was created to show our appreciation for the support we’ve received from the community since opening our doors in October 2018. We invite you, on your next visit, to have your photo taken and added to the display. Just ask a barista! ECR Park wouldn’t exist without the relationships we’ve built with our customers, and so we want to say, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

All three of the Romeo & Juliet signature drinks will be available through the end of the month, so stop in while they’re here! The photo display will also remain up until the end of February. The café is located at 101 Keystone Ave in Peckville PA, and we’re open Monday-Saturday 7am-4pm, and Sunday 8am-4pm. We’d love to see you.
