Description
The Coffee
This is an extraordinary coffee from our friend Sarela! With the use of ancestral coffee sowing and pruning techniques that involve the phases of the moon! The farm’s size is 2 hectares and sits near the sector that provides fresh spring water to the surrounding area. Sarela has plans to reinvest back into rebuilding the drying beds, and improving wastewater treatment. Providing quality coffee is her top focus. We couldn’t be more proud than to offer her unique coffee her at Electric City Roasting Co.
About Sarela
Sarela was born on May 20th, 1950 in the coffee producing province of Luya. Like so many other coffee producers, she inherited her family’s farm. Passed down through generations, Sarela uses ancestral coffee sowing and pruning techniques that involve the phases of the moon. The harvest season in the community Collonce is between August and September. The farm’s size is two hectares and sits near a sector that provides fresh spring water to the surrounding habitat. Guava, Chamizo, Morrero and other native trees pepper the scenery and provide shade for the harvestable understory. Sarela has plans to reinvest back into her farm this year, improving the wet beneficiary, rebuilding the drying beds, and improving wastewater treatment. Providing quality coffee is her top focus.

I bought this coffee for my dad and he loved it! It’s a really good substitute for some other coffees that are less sustainable.
